I had the pleasure to meet and photograph Maude, Kat and Gilles. They are not your average family. Words like strength, love, bravery come to mind when you hear their story. It used to be a family of 4, but they lost their son last year. Kat used to be called dad, but finally, after 17 years of marriage he bravely came out as a woman. Maude and Gilles love her even more for that. I am amazed by the love, closeness and support between these 3. Gilles is also non-binary and her parents accept her, love her and support her. It was wonderful to watch them interact and one can see the love in every little gesture. Love is love.
