Mississauga Backyard Wedding

Heather and Jon briefly met in middle school when Jon was a new student late into 8th grade. Fast forward 10 years they again met by chance and have been inseparable ever since.

When celebrating their first New Year’s in their new home, they ordered in Chinese food, had a few drinks and watched the ball drop. When they rang in the New Year with the kiss, he went down on one knee, took the ring out of his pocket and popped the question. The rest is history and an awesome kick-ass Canadian-style back yard wedding.

The Wedding Day morning start with the ladies being pampered by the talented make-up artists and hair-dressers at Fortelli Salon & Spa in Mississauga. Heather has the most gorgeous, long hair that is perfect for an Elsa inspired hairdo.

With pampering complete, it was time to head back. There was one little girl that could hardly wait to see her Aunt put on the beautiful Greek- goddess- style dress and start the party.

With deep breathes and anxious anticipation, the first look was their most favorite part of the wedding. Jon would finally see his beautiful bride in her stunning and breathtaking dress. They were both looking forward to it- to spend some time together before the big craze, to soak in the moment and their love. The look of adoration on Jon’s face says it all.

Chosing a small backyard wedding, the couple wanted very simple décor. They did a lot of DIY, from the backdrop macrame, to the cork succulent magnet favors. Heather is a very Earth-conscious person, considering the footprint of everything she does. As she says:”Live simply so other people can simply live” and one can see their philosophy is everything they touch.

” We wanted the Ceremony to be very simple with only my brother and sister up there with us. All three of us have now been married by the same officiant, Mr. Arthur Kelsie. That is something very special to us, that we all now share.”- Heather.

Time to take some portraits of the happy couple. As they met in middle school, we definitely wanted to make a mandatory stop there for some photos. Lucky for us the school was in the immediate vicinity. Best idea, everrrrrr!

It was time to go back and taste the goodies of Heirloom Toronto Food Truck. Their food is amazing, but what they are really famous for is their dipped cheesecake on a stick. They lived up to their word and them some- the guests could not get enough!

And speeches…

Now that all the formalities were done and all the speeches were said, it is time to eat cake and wiggle your body.
